In a city that’s in a constant state of change, with new restaurants opening and closing with great rapidity, there is something comforting and reassuring about those few remaining Vancouver touchstones--those places in the city where people have created memories with friends and family.

The Buzz
Perhaps it’s because of this that the buzz continues to grow for Upstairs at Bridges! Indeed, people are discovering and rediscovering our world-class upstairs dining room in the heart of Granville Island!

Style Evolution
While we’ve been serving up mouth-watering dishes and culinary delights since the early 80’s, our staying power is due to a healthy respect for tradition mixed with a love and flair for innovation. Our latest upstairs menu is a testament to that fact, as our world-class chef has created dishes that are wonderfully contemporary, yet rooted in tradition.

Innovative and Timeless
While other establishments are caught up in chasing the trends, we prefer to convey a classic culinary experience--one that never goes out of style. In other words, we’re the black Armani dress of cuisine--no shoulder pads and big hair here! Bridges may have been born in the 80’s but its a model of style-evolution!

We could go on about our incredible new menu, our updated look, and, of course, our friendly and professional servers and staff, but don’t take our word for it!

The Reviews are In!
The reviews* are in and here is a sampling of what our recent guests are saying!

“Uptown Girl” says: “our service was attentive, helpful and friendly. Their mussel and chips offering was given a thumbs up. A very generous offering of chips. The Niçoise salad was perfect -nice portions of seared tuna, with eggs and mixed greens. A good varied menu...Bridges, upstairs, is a fine dining establishment and worth visiting several times a year.”

“Ashley 1990” writes: “I would highly recommend Bridges Restaurant. Great service, food, and views of the city!”

“Hannah” gushed: “The restaurant has a very romantic and upscale feel, we were seated at a table facing the water and enjoyed beautiful views of the water and the city at night. The wine selection was fantastic and the wait staff was very knowledgeable and well-trained. We did not have to wait long for our appetizer (oysters on the half shell), waters, and bottle of wine. Bread was served right after ordering (delicious!). I had the West Coast Bouillabaisse, it was fantastic, and my boyfriend had the poached lobster, and we ordered mashed potatoes as a side to share. I would go back and would recommend Bridges to anyone!”

“Moishe1” says: “We visit Vancouver frequently from Toronto to see family. It has become a custom for our last dinner before departure back home to be at Bridges. Wonderful ambiance, terrific staff, and excellent cuisine. The lamb shank is the best I have ever had in many years of going to many excellent restaurants. Bravo.”

LLUU writes: “Beautiful location inside out. The view is phenomenal! If you go right before sunset, you can catch the glistening waves of the sun in the water. The food was delicious and came out in a timely manner...Throughout our meal, our server touched based with us a few times to make sure we were doing okay and constantly refilled our glasses. The food was delicious and we were extremely satisfied at the end of the night.”
